POSITION SUMMARY:
Senior Sales Manager GCC is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities and manages the International GCC / ME market and the GCC / ME local Corporate Companies & HNWI sales to achieve hotel and set revenue goals. Generates new accounts, sales channels, formulate and implement sales and marketing strategies for the segment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Overall responsibility of the International GCC/ME Leisure & MICE Sales Segment of the hotel, including Tour operators, Travel Agents, Consortia, Bed banks and local DMC’s
  • Overall responsibility of the Local CIS corporate companies and HNWI from the GCC/ME residing in Cyprus.
  • Attends internal Meetings and Conference Calls, Client Appointments and Client Events in Cyprus and abroad as appropriate
  • Responsible for key account management on an assigned base or geographic area, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets and increase fair market share versus competitor set
  • Prospects new accounts both in key markets and potential new markets
  • Seeks out partnerships and joint marketing activities with partners to drive awareness of the property along with increased production and results
  • Conducts site inspections, training seminars and education hotel related webinars
  • Follows up of potential & tentative bookings in the assigned market with the clients
  • Responsible for timely contracting along with negotiating Wholesales Contracts not limited to allotments, terms, and conditions
  • Uses SMART contracting to ensure optimum yielding during annual rate negotiations.
  • Attends local and international trade shows, sales blitz, workshops, in the assigned markets for the leisure segments
  • Executes sales actions within set cost budget structure, not limited to tactical offers, client’s partnership, sponsorships, and fam trips
  • Cross Sells other areas of the hotel at any opportunity, creating packages for other elements in the property
  • Aims to achieve the Company Sales Vision with set KPI’s
  • Documents all sales actions in the CRM system
  • Understands and strictly adheres to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety
  • Produces regular and ad - hoc reports related to Mass Gaming player development, hotel rooms and any promotional packages for review by management
  • Manages and motivates team of highly skilled sales professional.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
  • At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven track record in highly numerate and analytical roles
  • Detailed knowledge of competitor set
Education
  • Candidates must hold a degree from a major, accredited institution in the fields of hospitality, gaming, statistics, marketing, finance, engineering, business administration or mathematics
  • Post graduate degree will be preferred
Skills / Competencies
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic language is a must
  • Mature presentation style and be comfortable interacting with senior management continuously
  • Extensive knowledge of all services provided by the Hotel and all relevant facts and figures of hotel
  • Expert proficiency in MS Excel and strong skills in PowerPoint
  • Must have superior technical skills in PMS systems and software
  • Strong project management skills is a must

  • Ability to keep up with a fast paced and growing business
  • Must have a strong analytical and economics mindset
