The Institute of Technology Assessment (ITA) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) Austria’s leading
non-university research and science institution has a double mission: Its team carries out interdisciplinary
research on the impacts of new technologies on society, the environment, and the economy, i.e. technology

technology policy issues. The institute is offering a
ACADEMY SCIENTIST POSITION (F/M/X)
(full-time, 40 hours per week)
for a duration of 1 year.
Your tasks:
- Strengthening the economic perspective on technology assessment
- Research on the interaction between technology, the economy, and society
- Acquisition of third-party funds for technology assessment projects
- Collaboration in project teams for technology assessment studies
- Active participation in the institute’s inter- and transdisciplinary discourse
Your profile:
- Promotion in economics or a closely related field
- Experience in the field of technology assessment as well as inter- and transdisciplinary research (at least
5 years)
- Experience in qualitative research methods and the organisation of workshops
- Expertise in health, mobility, and labour policies
- Excellent record of academic publications
- Excellent German and English skills
- Soft skills: capacity for teamwork, communicative character

The annual gross salary is € 60.926,60, according to the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences
(OeAW).
